[FamilySearch, 29 Jul 2026] Brother of the root ancestor.

[31 Jul 2026] MERGED PER-000351 into this row. Both rows carry FamilySearch id KF5S-CB5, so they are one person. Kept PER-000146 ('Pieter Marthinus OosthuijzenH'); merged PER-000351 ('Pieter Marthinus OosthuijzenH'). Exposed by the _FID backfill of 31 Jul 2026, which gave nearly every person an id to collide on; before that these had no shared key. Check KF5S-CB5 on FamilySearch before assuming the upstream tree needs anything - it is usually the LOCAL tree that is stale (LEAD-0021). Moved across: tree id=. DISAGREEMENTS, kept rather than resolved - the FamilySearch id settles these in one click: surname: kept 'Oosthuizen', PER-000351 said 'Oosthuijzen'; birth_edtf: kept '1795', PER-000351 said '1796-03-27'.

[31 Jul 2026 SRC-092] THE 1809 INVENTORY OVERTURNS MY MERGE CHOICE OF THIS MORNING. MOOC8/28.63, taken 23 April 1809, lists him as heir 7, AGED 12 - which puts his birth between 24 Apr 1796 and 23 Apr 1797. In the merge with PER-000351 I kept '1795' and discarded '1796-03-27'; the discarded value is far closer to the register than the one I kept. Birth set to 1796~ - the inventory age is evidence but not a birth date, and 27 March 1796 would make him 13 by a month, so neither reading is clean. This is the SECOND merge disagreement from this morning that a document has now settled, and the first that has gone AGAINST the value I kept. The rule of keeping the survivor's value is a tiebreaker, not evidence, and this is what it costs.

These are working notes, not finished prose: they carry the reasoning, the corrections and the things still marked to verify. They are kept here so the page itself can read as what is known.
