[SRC-112] Transferee of Vaste Water (PAR-000040) per the 1923 SG diagram (DOC-0076): "This diagram belongs to the Transfer made this [date] in favour of Susanna Maria KlueH, 26.4.1923, deed 3007." Surname read as KLUE off the colour scan, 29 Jul 2026 (was "illegible" on the first pass) - not yet identified in the tree [TO VERIFY]. The transfer date is in conflict with DOC-0039's verso (26/5/1923) - see OWN-000058.

[7 Aug 2026] KLUE AND KLEU ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY ONE SURNAME IN THIS DISTRICT, AND THE MODEL ALREADY HELD BOTH WITHOUT NOTICING. This row is KLUE, on a 1923 transfer of Vaste Water - a portion of Middelwater. PER-000518 is Johannes KLEU, shot at Remhoogte in 1901 - Middelwater's northern neighbour. Two spellings, two documents, one small piece of ground. Middelwater also carries the werf name KLUEPLAAS, where the two portrait sketches (IMG-0004, IMG-0005) were found in an attic. Spelling drift is evidence and both forms are kept. LEAD-0125.

[2 Sep 2026] THE SEARCH SPACE FOR HER IS NOW MAPPED AND SHE IS NOT IN IT. The Kleu/Klue family of Uniondale and Oudtshoorn runs from JOSEPH KLUE (1817-1896, L5PF-86C) and JACOBA JOHANNA MARGARETHA FERREIRA, married at George on 13 August 1855, and their twelve children hold NO SUSANNA MARIA. So if she belongs to that family she is a granddaughter, or a child of Joseph Klue's earlier marriage. She held Vaste Water in April 1923, so she was of age by then. LEAD-0332.

[SRC-614, 2 Sep 2026] THE NEAREST CANDIDATE YET, AND THE NAME DOES NOT MATCH. A compiled Klue genealogy gives SUSANNA JOHANNA ALETTA KLUE, called SANKIE, born 20 January 1882 and dead 4 April 1958, daughter of Pieter Egbert KlueL of Diepkloof on the Kammanassie. She was forty-one in April 1923, which is the right age to take transfer of Vaste Water. But the 1923 diagram reads SUSANNA MARIA and hers is SUSANNA JOHANNA ALETTA. Recorded as a candidate to test, not as a match. LEAD-0332.

*** [2 Sep 2026] THE NAMING TEST HAS BEEN RUN AND IT POINTS AT THIS ROW RATHER THAN AT THE FAMILY. *** Eighty-seven Kleu and Klue people were added from eight FamilySearch sibships to make the vernoemingspatroon testable. The family recycles a very small set of name-strings, hard: SEBASTIAAN JOHANNES six times, PIETER EGBERT five, PETRONELLA DANIELINA MAGDALENA four, SUSANNA JOHANNA ALETTA three, GESINA MARIA three. IT HOLDS SEVEN SUSANNAS AND NOT ONE OF THEM IS A SUSANNA MARIA: Susanna Johanna 1867, Susanna Johanna Aletta 1871, Susanna Francina Johanna 1878, Susanna Aletta Johanna Magdalena 1879, Susanna Johanna 1881, Susanna Johanna Aletta 1882, Susanna Johanna Aletta 1896. The pattern is SUSANNA JOHANNA, with Aletta or Francina after it. Never Maria. *** SO EITHER THIS ROW'S GIVEN NAMES ARE MISREAD, OR SHE IS NOT OF THIS FAMILY. *** And the first is worth testing before the second, because THIS ROW'S SURNAME WAS RECORDED AS ILLEGIBLE ON THE FIRST PASS and only read as KLUE off a colour scan on 29 July 2026. If the surname needed a second look, the given names deserve one. THE CANDIDATE IF THE READING IS WRONG: SUSANNA JOHANNA ALETTA KLUE, called SANKIE, 1882-1958, FamilySearch LBFH-HHD, daughter of Pieter Egbert KlueL of Diepkloof on the Kammanassie. DOC-0076's transfer line says SUSANNA MARIA KLUE and this row is right as it was written on 29 July 2026. *** WHICH MEANS THE NAMING TEST NOW POINTS AWAY FROM THE OUDTSHOORN KLUES RATHER THAN AT THEM. *** The eighty-seven people added from eight FamilySearch sibships hold SEVEN Susannas and the form is always SUSANNA JOHANNA, with Aletta or Francina after it. Never Maria. A family that recycles Sebastiaan Johannes six times and Pieter Egbert five does not produce a Susanna Maria by accident. SANKIE IS OUT. Susanna Johanna Aletta KlueL 1882-1958 (LBFH-HHD) was the candidate only while the reading was in doubt. *** AND THAT IS WORTH SAYING PLAINLY: THIS WHOLE EXCURSION BEGAN FROM A SURNAME, WHICH IS WHAT 9 EXISTS TO WARN ABOUT. *** It has produced a documented Kleu family of the George and Oudtshoorn country, four documents on a De Rust man and an unresolved question about whether he is one person or two. It has NOT produced the woman who took transfer of Vaste Water, and on the naming evidence she may not be of that family at all. WHERE TO LOOK INSTEAD, AND ALL THREE ARE IN THIS DISTRICT. Deed 3007 of 1923 in the deeds office, which carries her full names and usually her marital status and her husband if she had one. The Prince Albert church registers. And PIETER OLCKERS, who found the two portraits in the Klueplaas loft in July 2026 and whose family held that house: the Klues lived in it for three generations after 1923 and he is the only living source this project has touched who might simply know.

*** [3 Sep 2026] AND ON WHETHER HE JOINS SUSANNA MARIA KLUE OF MIDDELWATER (PER-000326). FRANS: 'there must also be a connection between this person and susanna maria klue from middelwater.' THE PROXIMITY IS REAL AND SMALL, AND THE WAR RECORD NOW CUTS AGAINST IT. *** Three Klue and Kleu traces sit inside one nine-kilometre circle: this grave in 1901; the werf name KLUEPLAAS on Middelwater, 8.5 km away, where the two portrait sketches were found in an attic; and VASTE WATER, a Middelwater portion, transferred to Susanna Maria KlueH on 26 April 1923, 8.7 km away. He is also the ONLY Kleu or Klue buried anywhere in the Prince Albert division, on 20,949 photographed captions. In a district this size that is worth noticing and it is the reason LEAD-0125 was opened. *** BUT THE WAR RECORD GIVES HIM A HOME AND IT IS NOT HERE. *** SRC-619 and SRC-620: address WATERKLOOF, ABERDEEN, some 150 km north-east, and a Cape rebel in Scheepers's commando was killed where the commando was, not where he came from. He owned nothing here, lived nowhere here, and lies apart from the family whose ground it was. On the evidence gathered so far he was a stranger on this farm. *** SO THE TWO ARE NOT JOINED, AND THERE IS A CLEAN TEST THAT WOULD JOIN THEM. *** Either the family held ground at both ends, or one surname has turned up twice in a small district twenty-two years apart, which is exactly what 9 forbids reading as a match. Susanna Maria KlueH is still unidentified - no birth, no death, no FamilySearch id, nothing but a name on a 1923 diagram. IF SHE OR HER PEOPLE PROVE TO BE ABERDEEN OR WATERKLOOF PEOPLE, THE TWO JOIN. That is one question asked of one place, and it is the same Aberdeen search LEAD-0332 already needs.
