Research notes
[TO VERIFY] [SRC-112, SRC-113] Held Vaste Water (a portion of the Remainder of Middelwater, PAR-000040) by amended quitrent title, granted with an unnamed co-holder "24 Mar 188X" per the 1923 SG diagram (DOC-0076) - which reads the name as "J.D.J. Oosthuyson" - while the companion 1923 beacon report (DOC-0077) cites "Vide LT plan 1884" and names the grantee "O.A. Oosthuysen" alongside J.N. BothaM (PER-000325). Two different readings of what may be the same person from two documents written days apart by different hands - not resolved, both kept. Not yet identified against any other Oosthuizen already in this model.
These are working notes, not finished prose: they carry the reasoning, the corrections and the things still marked to verify. They are kept here so the page itself can read as what is known.

second order · B1 succession
On Vaste Water (Middelwater No. 169 Ptn 5), J.D.J. Oosthuyson / O.A. OosthuysenH (reading uncertain) and J.N. BothaM is the last owner recorded from 1884-03-24, and the next entry is Susanna Maria KlueM from 1923-04-26, 39 years later, with no person in common. DOC-0076 records the later arrival but not the 39 years before it.
What would settle it The Deeds Office transfer register for this farm between 1884 and 1923. A transfer names its predecessor in title, so one deed closes the whole gap.
