Research notes

[3 Aug 2026, SRC-211] A 1977 consolidation of Gedeelte 6 and Gedeelte 7, both of them cut from Gedeelte 5 of Rhemhoogte. Its neighbours put it squarely between the farms this project follows: Modderdrift 106 and its Gedeelte 2, Gedeelte 3 of Rhemhoogte (PAR-000069), Gedeelte 7 of Klipgat 114, four parcels of Rondable 124, and GED 3 VAN MIDDLEWATER NR. 169 (PAR-000079). Same surveyor, J.K. Maree, as the 1984 Voelfontein consolidation.

[9 Aug 2026, DOC-0177] THIS PORTION IS PORTIONS 6 AND 7 JOINED, NOT NEW GROUND. Kaart 1551/77 compiles Gedeelte 6 (11001/71, 4728,2437 ha) and Gedeelte 7 (1550/77, 4,6475 ha) into one figure of 4732,8912 ha and numbers it Gedeelte 8. The sum is exact to the fourth decimal, and the sheet is headed SAAMGESTEL with Opgemeet struck out. So PAR-000142, PAR-000144 and PAR-000148 are the same ground twice: any sum over this farm's portions that counts all three double-counts about 4,785 ha.

[13 Aug 2026] Renamed to the one form this model uses for every portion - the portion's own name, then the parent farm, its number and the portion in brackets - so that a name is legible in a list, a search result and a map popup without the reader having to know which farm number is which. It read "Rhemhoogte Portion 8 (No. 125 Ptn 8)" before. Nothing about the ground changed.
