Research notes

[3 Aug 2026, SRC-210] *** THIS DISSOLVES A TRAP THIS PROJECT SET FOR ITSELF. *** PAR-000099 warns: "SEPARATE TRAP: Prince Albert has a SECOND farm called MODDERDRIFT, No. 239 ... It is not this farm and the two must never be pooled - same class of error as the two Middelwaters." That warning was right to be careful and wrong about the reason. Farm 239 is not a namesake at all. It is a 2016 CONSOLIDATION OF TWO PIECES WE ALREADY HOLD: GEDEELTE 4 VAN MODDERDRIFT NR. 106 (our PAR-000125) and GEDEELTE 3 VAN RHEMHOOGTE NR. 125 (our PAR-000069, Annex Modderdrift). It is called Modderdrift because most of it IS Modderdrift. THE ARITHMETIC SETTLES IT: 7101,2233 total less the 2037,7683 of Rhemhoogte Ged 3 leaves 5063,46 ha for Modderdrift 106 Ged 4, against the 5069,9 ha our cadastre gives PAR-000125 - 6,4 ha apart, 0,13%. AND IT EXPLAINS SOMETHING ELSE. PAR-000125 carries WSTATUS=H in the cadastre and this project marked it "pinned-superseded" without knowing what superseded it. This did, in 2017.

[3 Aug 2026] Its verso shows a Gedeelte 1 of 2821,9159 ha struck off almost at once (kaart 2497/2016, deed 27099/17), leaving 4279,3074 ha of remainder. The farm was assembled and part of it sold in the same breath.
