Daughter of GERHARDUS OOSTHUIJZEN (PER-000298), and sister of Elsje above. Her death is given in the shared export (SRC-464) as 'before 25 April 1804', which is an ESTATE-INVENTORY DATE - but that sheet has not been read here and its MOOC8 reference is not known. [TO VERIFY]

Recorded because she completes the Gerhardus sibship whose estates run through the Swellendam district.

[2026-09-23, SRC-685; SRC-686] BOTH SHEETS READ. MOOC8/50.54a-b (9 October 1789) is her husband Fredrik Scheepers d'oude's estate, given in by her, with her own letter on the distance; nine children and a granddaughter; the places de Uijtvlugt over de Cromme Revier (Swellendam) and de Leeuwe Fonteijn aan de Kleijne Swartkops Revier (Graaff-Reinet); 278 cattle, 1000 sheep; net Rd 3188:36. MOOC8/25.20 (25 April 1804) is the couple's joint estate after both had died, the papers burnt, two oxen and 22 sheep left. The death 'before 25 April 1804' now rests on the sheet. It says “the loan places de Uijtvlugt 'over de Cromme Revier', Swellendam district, and de Leeuwe Fonteijn 'aan de Kleijne Swartkops Revier', Graaff-Reinet district” and no more. No parcel is attached, so the family it describes sits nowhere on the map.

What would settle it The inventory's own heading usually names the farm and the field-cornetcy; where it does not, the deceased's quitrent or opgaaf entry for that year will. This is the shape that produced the de Bruin/Rondabel find.
