SUPPLIED 17 Aug 2026 against the question "we should perhaps look for the 1755 oosthuizen's brothers and sisters" - and it answers that directly. A COMPILED TREE, so it ranks below a register everywhere and its PLACE STRINGS ARE THE HOSTILE KIND: "Overberg,,Western Cape,South Africa" and "Cape Winelands,,Western Cape" are modern district-municipality names assigned by software, not what any record said. | THE SIBSHIP. Jacobus Oosthuizen (b. 22 Nov 1722, FS LHLG-SXG) x Dina Carolina Brits, married TULBAGH 10 April 1749, THIRTEEN children - which is the number this project already held: Catharina 1750; Johannes Jacobus 1753-1828; OCKERT 1755, our man; Jacobus Nicolaas 1755-1769; Jacobus Petrus 1757; Gerrit Johannes 1760-1825; Dina Johanna 1762; MARTHINUS 1764; Pieter Cornelis 1767-1836; Jacobus 1769; Dina Johanna Magdalena 1771-1815; ADRIAAN 1774-1805; Jacoba Cornelia 1777-1805. | TWO OF THE THIRTEEN ARE DEAD ENDS HERE, AND THEY ARE THE TWO WORTH HAVING: JACOBUS PETRUS (b.1757) and JACOBUS (b.1769) carry NO family and NO children in this export at all. The 1816 George opgaafrol (SRC-459) has two households written "Marth: Pet: Jac[s] Oosthuizen" and "Joh: Pet: Jac[s] Oosthuizen" whose second and third names could be a patronymic or could be given names; a brother called Jacobus Petrus with no recorded descent is exactly the gap such households would sit in. NOT AN IDENTIFICATION - it is the shape of a hole, and 9 forbids matching on a name. | IT CONFIRMS TWO THINGS THIS PROJECT ALREADY ARGUED. Marthinus (b.1764) has a son JACOBUS JOHANNES OCKERT OOSTHUIZEN b.1789 married to HILLETJE ELIZABETH DE BEER - the first cousin LEAD-0213 warns against confusing with our man, and the c.1807 de Beer marriage of LEAD-0217, from a second compiler. And Adriaan (b.1774) has the son JACOBUS b.1797 who married Susara Maria Elizabeth Olivier - LEAD-0213's best-shaped A-son candidate - with every place in the Overberg, which is why he fails the place test. | AND IT CARRIES "OCKERT ALMARO" FOR THE 1755 MAN, who his own 1809 estate styles plain Ockert throughout. That is the third independent compiler to retro-apply the son's name to the father. Evidence of how far the assumption travelled, not evidence for the name. | ON FRANS'S REAL QUESTION - why so many Oosthuizens in the George country in 1816 - THIS EXPORT DOES NOT EXPLAIN IT. The thirteen siblings' children are placed overwhelmingly at Tulbagh, Swellendam, the Overberg, Paarl and Malmesbury, and not one is placed at George, Oudtshoorn or the Olifants valley. But those are precisely the auto-assigned strings 5 says to distrust, so the absence is weak in both directions. What would settle it is the roll itself, year by year. | *** [18 Aug 2026] CORRECTION TO THE PARAGRAPH ABOVE, FROM THIS PROJECT'S OWN HOLDINGS. *** That paragraph reads Jacobus Petrus (b.1757) and Jacobus (b.1769) having no descent in this export as "the shape of a hole" the 1816 roll's Marth: Pet: Jac and Joh: Pet: Jac households might sit in. THE 1802 ESTATE OF THEIR PARENTS SAYS OTHERWISE: neither man appears among the heirs of MOOC8/24.27, taken 27 April 1802, and an heirs list carries a predeceased child's own children. Both were therefore dead before 1802 WITHOUT SURVIVING ISSUE. The export is not silent about them for want of research; it is silent because there is nobody to record. The hypothesis is withdrawn. | It was checkable in a file this repository has held since 29 July, which is the same lesson as the signature block on the 1809 estate: the answers are more often inside than outside. | *** [18 Aug 2026] MATCHED AGAINST THE MOOC8 SWEEP, on the question "confirm you can match all these people". "Jan Oosthuysen Jan zoon" and "Johannes Jacobus Oosthuysen", the 1792 appraisers, have several candidates each and nothing separates them. | *** AND A PROVENANCE WARNING THAT CHANGES HOW MUCH THIS FILE CAN CARRY. *** Only 120 of 5,647 recorded deaths in the export (2%) take the form "before <date>", so it is a deliberate convention - and every one of the four Oosthuizen instances in this period is AN ESTATE-INVENTORY DATE: before 31 Mar 1780, before 10 Oct 1788, BEFORE 18 MAY 1792, before 25 Apr 1804. The compiler was reading the same MOOC8 index this project swept. So where the export and MOOC8 agree on those people it is ONE SOURCE SEEN TWICE, not independent corroboration.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
