Research notes
[TREE] Added 2026-07-31 by kin_sweep.py under the one-degree rule: child of Dina Carolina BritzM. Thin record, name, dates and the family link only. NO PLACE IMPORTED: the tree's place strings are systematically wrong and are not evidence.
[6 Aug 2026] NOT ON THE FAMILYSEARCH FAMILY VIEW. Frans's screenshot of LHLG-SXG lists TWELVE children; this model holds THIRTEEN, and this is the extra one. Two things sit against it: FamilySearch does not have him among the twelve, and PER-000118 Ockert was also born in 1755. The gestation check never saw the clash because Ockert's birth is a bare year and the check needs two full dates. Absence from FamilySearch is not proof of anything on its own - LEAD-0114.
These are working notes, not finished prose: they carry the reasoning, the corrections and the things still marked to verify. They are kept here so the page itself can read as what is known.

Is Jacobus Nicolaas Oosthuizen (PER-000659) a real thirteenth child?
priority 2 · LEAD-0114
FamilySearch lists twelve children for Jacobus OosthuizenL b.1722 (LHLG-SXG). This model holds thirteen. Is PER-000659, born 12 November 1755, a real child, another row for one of the twelve, or somebody else's son?
What would settle it A 1755 baptism entry, or Ockert's exact birth date. If Ockert turns out to be born within about ten months of 12 November 1755, one of the two rows is wrong.
