Signed [?H.J.] Venter. | HE IS THE 'JAN ADRIAAN VENTER OUD 10 JAREN' OF MOOC8/50.47a (SRC-581), April 1789 - Pieter Venter d'oude's youngest child, and the age at death computes to a birth about 1778-79, agreeing. | *** THE GEBOORTEPLAATS AND THE TULBAGH BAPTISM (SRC-583) DO NOT CONFLICT - THEY ARE 5's THIRD RULE IN ONE MAN. *** Born in the DISTRICT Olifantsrivier; carried to TULBAGH's font, the Roodezand church being the one that served the Olifants River country in the 1770s. - both are true, one names the ground and one names the church. | WHAT IT PLACES: the Pieter Venter household stood in the Olifants River country about 1778-79, BEFORE the Paarl baptisms of 1786-1790. Which Olifants is [TO VERIFY], but Tulbagh's catchment points at the WESTERN one (the Citrusdal valley), not the southern Olifants of the Oosthuizen trail. A 91-year-later statement through a Bloemfontein clerk is testimony, not a roll - weigh it accordingly.
