The citation as it was given

2134 morgen 320 square roods in the field cornetcy of Traka, "being portion KLIPGAT A of the farm Klipgat GRANTED TO THE ESTATE OF THE LATE LOUIS DANIEL FRANCOIS VAN ZYL on the 9th Sept 1911". Transferred on deed 8821 of 15 November 1916 to JACOBUS J.P. VAN ZYL. READ WITH SRC-227 THIS SETTLES WHOSE FARM KLIPGAT WAS. Both portions were granted to the same estate on the same day, both surveyed by the same man in the same month, and both transferred on 15 November 1916 on CONSECUTIVE DEEDS - 8820 to Christian H. van Zyl, 8821 to Jacobus J.P. van Zyl. PAR-000112 carries deed 1916-142-8830 for Quaggas Poel, which fits the same run. So the ten near-equal portions of Klipgat are one estate being divided among van Zyls in a single day. Bounded NE and NW by River Vale, E by Asch Kop and Nieuwe Dam, SW by the Remainder, W by Lot A - all of them portions of the same farm, which is what a family subdivision looks like.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
