[FS batch, 2 Sep 2026] Added from FamilySearch descendancy views, to make the KLEU/KLUE naming pattern testable against the search for SUSANNA MARIA KLUE, the transferee of Vaste Water in 1923 (PER-000326). *** WHY A BATCH THIS SIZE IS HERE AT ALL, STATED SO IT IS NOT MISTAKEN FOR CREEP. *** These people hold no ground in this district and 9a's test would normally stop them at the door. Frans's reason is the vernoemingspatroon: SRC-613 shows Johannes Diederich Kleu named for JOHANNES DEDERICK FERREIRA, his mother's people, at the font in 1870, so naming in this family tracks kin and a sibship list is the instrument for finding a Susanna Maria. EVERY ROW IS FROM A COMPILED TREE. Years only, no places, no documents. Nothing here is evidence and none of it should be cited as such. LEAD-0332.

*** [3 Sep 2026] FAMILYSEARCH GVRR-V2B PUTS HIS BIRTH AND HIS BAPTISM AT PRINCE ALBERT, WHICH IS THIS PROJECT'S OWN DIVISION. *** Born 14 FEBRUARY 1883 at Prince Albert; christened 6 MAY 1884 at Prince Albert, the christening carrying one source and the reason 'as per baptism'. Death: 'Deceased', no date, no source. He is the FIRST of the eighty-seven Kleus of the 2 September batch with an event in the Prince Albert division, and he was found by asking a war record's noemnaam rather than by any of the genealogy that put the batch here. *** HE IS NOW THE STANDING CANDIDATE FOR THE REMHOOGTE WAR GRAVE (PER-000518, GRV-0040). *** His name reads P. J., which is what the roll behind SRC-619 and SRC-620 wrote as '(Piet) Johannes'; his father is PETRUS Jacobus Kleu (PER-002012, GVJG-M31), so the third of Frans's three readings fits him as well; he carries no death date at all; and he was born in the division the man is buried in. NOTHING OF THIS IS AN IDENTIFICATION. 9: never match on a name alone, and a district is not a match either. *** AND TWO THINGS CUT AGAINST HIM, BOTH WORTH KEEPING IN VIEW. *** The war record gives the dead man's address as WATERKLOOF, ABERDEEN, not Prince Albert, and nothing here ties this family to Aberdeen. And he was EIGHTEEN AND SIX MONTHS on 24 August 1901, against the two accounts' twenty-two and twenty-three - the same kind of gap that has been held against every other candidate and it must be held against him too. His own brother SEBASTIAN JOHANNES BARNARD KLEU (PER-002014, GVJG-NPB), born 1879, was exactly twenty-two that August and is excluded only by a tree death of 1918 with no document behind it. THE TWO BROTHERS FAIL ON OPPOSITE TESTS, which is the shape this search keeps returning to. *** WHAT WOULD SETTLE IT, AND IT IS ONE PAGE. *** The Prince Albert baptism of 6 May 1884, which is the single source on that profile. It should name both parents and may carry a residence column. If it names Petrus Jacobus KleuL and Catharina Margaretha BarnardM the sibship is confirmed and this family is a PRINCE ALBERT family, which changes what the batch is. [TO VERIFY] The birth date itself carries no source on FamilySearch and was entered by a contributor in March 2023; only the christening is sourced.

*** [SRC-622, 3 Sep 2026] THE REGISTER SAYS PETRUS JACOBUS, NOT PETRUS JOHANNES, AND THAT ENDS HIS CANDIDACY FOR THE WAR GRAVE. *** Frans opened the single source on GVRR-V2B. It is entry 106 of the Prince Albert doop-register for 1884, baptised 6 May 1884, born 14 February 1883, father PETRUS JACOBUS KLEU, mother CATHARINA MARG. BARNARD, witnesses JOHANNES HENDR. BARNARD and ELIZABETH GESINA BARNARD. Same day, same congregation, same date of birth: it is the entry FamilySearch is resting on, and FamilySearch has the second name wrong. Jacobus against Johannes is a different name and not a spelling, so 5a-i does not apply and the register governs. THE MECHANISM IS VISIBLE ON THE SAME PAGE: entry 107, the next line down, is PETRUS JOHANNES, born 8 February 1884, son of Petrus Johannes Jansen van Vuren. An indexer took the name from one line and the date from the other. *** WHAT IT COSTS AND WHAT IT CONFIRMS. *** He was the standing candidate for the Remhoogte war grave purely because his name read P. J. against the war record's '(Piet) Johannes'. It does not. He carries no Johannes at all and he is out. What survives is better founded than the candidacy was: HIS PARENTS ARE CONFIRMED FROM A REGISTER, the sibship with PER-002014, PER-002015 and the rest holds, the family stood at the font at PRINCE ALBERT in May 1884, and he is named for his own father in the third son's position, exactly where the vernoemingspatroon puts him. His witnesses are BARNARDS, his mother's people, which is the same kin pattern entry 98 of that opening shows for the Oosthuizens. Birth confirmed at 14 February 1883 by the register, where FamilySearch carried it with no source.
