Supplied by [FAMILY] The figure A.B.C.D.E.F.G. represents 184,7427 hectares of land, being The Farm No. 1236 & comprises 1 & 2 above., situate in the Administrative District of Paarl, Province of Cape of Good Hope, surveyed March-June 1971. The two components are written out on the sheet: '1. Figure A.B.C.D.Z.Y.X.D.E.F.G. being Remdr. of the farm Nooitgedacht No.184. Vide Dgm. No. 112/1826, D/G Stel. Q 7.23.' and '2. FIGURE X.Y.Z.D. BEING THE FARM WITTENBERG No.185. VIDE DGM. No. 18/1717, D/G O.S.F. 2(1).160.' A separate note reads 'The figure x.y.z.D. represents Freehold Land; the Remdr. is Quitrent.' *** THIS IS THE SHEET THAT DRAWS WITTENBERG'S OWN OUTLINE. *** Diagram 18/1717 (SRC-709) named the farm and gave its extent; this one shows where inside Farm 1236 it lies, as the figure x.y.z.D, and confirms it by tenure - the old freehold grant of 1717 against quitrent land around it. Neighbours named on the face: Ptn 1 of Nooitgedacht No. 184 to the north, the farm Paarlse Pont Outspan No. 371 to the east, The farm No. 384 to the south-east, Ptn 3 of St Martin No. 385 and the farm Gly No. 182 to the south-west, the farm No. 183 to the west, and Rem Rd along the western boundary. Beacon co-ordinates are given in system Lo19 with constants Y 0,0 and X +3 700 000,0. Annexed to C.C.T. 39832/76 [the fourth digit is not certain; it may read 39830]; the i.f.o. field is blank, so the sheet names no owner. A faded line above the S.G. No. block is [illegible].
