[22 Sep 2026] Supplied by Frans with five map photographs, 'including one that unmistakenly shows moerasrivier on olifants'. Secondary; copyright maps, held and cited, not published. THE MAP ON p. 152 draws MOERASFONTEIN ON THE OLIFANTSRIVIER in the ANTONIESBERG veldkornetskap of 1850, between ROOI KLIP, MISGUND, WANHOOP, DWAAS, PERDEFONTEIN, OUPOS and NAUGASFONTEIN - the same neighbours as Moerasfontein No. 27 (Uniondale, PAR-000305) on this project's cadastre and on the 1832 Roodeklip diagram ('Loanplace Moerasfontyn'). An independent secondary placing of the farm on the upper Olifants, below the Kammanassie. A NAMESAKE ON THE SAME DISTRICT: the map on p. 151 and the article's 'Die Vleie' also have a MOERASFONTEIN near the coast, owned by the Barnards in 1850. Not ours; any 'Moerasfontein, George' needs the veldkornetskap before it is matched. OWNERS IN 1850 (Appendix B, by name or surname): Antoniesberg (24 farms, 28 owners) includes an ERASMUS - Daniel Jacobus Erasmus held Moeras/Modder Fontyn in 1824-1826 (PER-002071) - and Daniël Nortjé on MISGUND and Frederik Salomon Terblanche on Naugasfontein; Bo-Olifantsrivier includes two VAN TONDERS, Terblanch and du Preez; Onder-Olifantsrivier has Pieter Mattheus le Roux on OUDE MURAGIE and a MEIRING. The article says the Olifants Terblanches, le Rouxs and du Preezes came from Mossel Bay, and that the du Preez brothers Hercules and Ignatius Petrus settled on the Olifants about 1780.
