ANTONIESBERG, 1850: the p. 152 map's OUPOS, which the article calls OUDE POST, a Marais farm (SRC-663, J.G. le Roux, 'Die distrik George in 1850', with the HSRC map on typescript p. 152, which draws Moerasfontein on the Olifantsrivier among Rooi Klip, Misgund, Wanhoop, Dwaas, Perdefontein, Oupos and Naugasfontein). Added THE IDENTIFICATION RESTS ON NAME AND DISTANCE ONLY - 13.2 km from Moerasfontein No. 27 (PAR-000305) - and the 1850 map is a sketch; no deed or diagram has yet tied this number to the 1850 name [TO VERIFY]. Which modern farm numbers are the 1850 farms around Moerasfontein that J.G. le Roux names and the HSRC map on p. 152 draws, and that the cadastre does not hold under those names? DWAAS is in the CSG index as Dwaas No. 428 (Uniondale), with Dwaasberg No. 414 beside it, but neither is in the provincial cadastre pull. WANHOOP, NAUGASFONTEIN (Frederik Salomon Terblanche, b. 1807, in 1850) and KLEIN GROBBE (Hendrik Johannes Nel) return nothing from the CSG index under any spelling tried (Wan Hoop, Naugas, Noagas, Nougasfontein, Naauwgas, Grobbe, Grobbelaars).
