Getrouwd in de Ned. Geref. Kerk te Prins Albert, door mij RICHARD BARRY V.D.M.' Signed F S Botma and M M M Niehaus; witnesses [?W.J. Tootle] and G. M. LE GRANGE; nagezien door A.J.L. Hofmeyr. | ELEVEN MONTHS after no. 935 (SRC-588) the same man marries again as a widower: MARIA JOHANNA LE GRANGE DIED BETWEEN 8 SEPTEMBER 1884 AND 17 AUGUST 1885 - three wives married and two buried inside five years, and he twenty-five. | The bride records an OCCUPATION, boerin, which the 1884 bride's line left blank; her woonplaats is read [?Oswater] and not identified against any parcel - name alone is never enough. | G.M. LE GRANGE WITNESSES BOTH WEDDINGS - the late wife's kinsman standing at the next wife's marriage, which reads as the district's web holding, not breaking, across a death. | AND THE BRIDE IS A NIEHAUS: the family his sister Johanna Geertruida would marry into and to whom his father would sell Lot C in 1909 - the Botma-Niehaus bond a generation earlier than the model knew. | Aletta Magdalena de Koker (PER-001928) therefore becomes AT LEAST HIS FOURTH WIFE.
