Supplied by to settle which congregation SRC-168 belongs to. TITLE VERBATIM: 'Soli deo gloria. Het boek der Gedoopte kinderen in De kerkgemeente van 't Land van Waveren, sedert 't jaar 1743, waarin deze kerkgemeente haar begin heeft genomen.' Four baptisms in that first year, 'drie soons, een dogter'. ENTRY 4 IS WORTH ITS OWN NOTE: 'Kint: Elisabeth. Vader: Jacobus du Prees. Moeder: MARIA SUSANNA THERON. Get: Pieter de Vos, en ELISABETH THERON.' Therons are in this register from its opening year - which matters because the 1816 Tulbagh Vrolykheid diagram (DOC-0117/SRC-147) names THREE of them, and because 22 Therons are now in this model in the Koup. It does not prove our Therons came from Tulbagh; it establishes that the family was there from 1743.
