Research notes
[7 Aug 2026, FROM FAMILYSEARCH] KLYD-KST. Born Prince Albert 8 May 1862, married there 13 December 1880, died there 22 April 1904. SHE IS THE DAUGHTER OF THE VREDENDAL STONE: her parents are Hendrik Willem Storm NiehausM [PER-001527] and Engela Susara Botes [PER-001526], whose own stone stands in the Botma burial ground on Vredendal reading 'Engela Susara Niehaus geb Botes'. Her husband was Andreas Stefanus BotesM. She lies with two of her sons in a small ground on Blaauw Draay 3 near Leeu-Gamka, 60 km from her mother's grave, all three dead in 1904. FamilySearch gives her death place as Prince Albert and the stone stands at Saairivier; both are recorded and neither is preferred. [FS]
