[22 Sep 2026, SRC-669] THE LOAN PLACE ARMOED, HELD BY OCKERT OLIVIER IN 1765, described in the loan-farm register as 'onder aan de Sand plaats rivier, digt aan die Olifants rivier, agter de Hattequas kloof' - Frans's reading; he gave no page for this entry and has no direct access to RLR, so both the reading and the citation are [TO VERIFY]. Hattequas is the Attaquas. Sparrman's map of 1775-76 (SRC-434) carries 'Sandeplaat' and 'Sanddrift' on this stretch of the Olifants, which is the Sandplaats water. *** IT LIES BETWEEN THE TWO OOSTHUIZEN PLACES: 8.7 km from Gamthous Bergh / Kandelaarsrivier (PAR-000337), which Jacobus OosthuizenL took the SAME YEAR, and 10.5 km from Welbedagt (PAR-000277), which Olivier himself held from 1772 and which passed to Marthinus OosthuysenM in 1780. *** So in 1765 the two families were neighbours on the upper Olifants, eight years before Marthinus married Hester Cicilia OlivierM and fifteen before the farm moved with the marriage. Olivier's Armoed, tydperk 1765-(1791), in Tabel 1.5 of the thesis (p. 72) and in Tabel 1 of the article, and the article's row had been in SRC-658 since 17 Sep - the page this note said Frans had not given was one query away. The bracketed 1791 is Appel's and his footnote was not supplied.
