[5 Aug 2026, DOC-0240] Read off the deduction table on the back of the Minnies Kraal No. 112 diagram - survey record E2090/55 - which lists all eight portions cut from the farm in the single 1955 campaign, each with its own diagram and 1956 deed. Gedeelte 7 ('Ged' is Gedeelte, Portion - : SG diagram 8738/1955, 1453.4683 morgen, deed 2302/1956. The diagram itself is not held here; this row rests on the parent's deduction table. TRANSCRIPTION CHECKED AGAINST THE GROUND: the recorded extent and the modern cadastral polygon for this portion agree to within about 1%, which is what gives confidence in a faint table. DEED READING UNCERTAIN: the table appears to give 2302/1956 for both this portion and Portion 1. One deed can cover two portions, and the hand is faint, so the two readings are recorded as they stand rather than one of them being quietly adjusted. [TO VERIFY - deed]

[13 Aug 2026, SRC-436] NAMED FROM THE 2023 VALUATION ROLL, which gives this portion as "Nuwejaarsfontein" (1244.9420 ha). This row previously read "Minnies Kraal Portion 7 (No. 112 Ptn 7)", which was a farm-and-portion label rather than a name. The roll is a rates document and good evidence for what the ground is called now; it says nothing about what it was called when the portion was cut.
