The 1914-15 drought breaks in ten inches of rain

Heavy drought through 1914 and 1915, ended only in 1916 when ten inches fell; stock died and the farmers came out with small flocks. The diary keeps the woman who complained that the sheep no longer died - she could no longer sell dead sheep's skins for food money.
