Stephanus Johannes Theron is born in the Klein Roggeveld

Baptised three days later under the veldcornet of Klyn Roggeveld, a wyk of Laingsburg about 150 km north-west of Klaarstroom. Forty years on he was co-granted Rondabel with Jan Adriaan Oosthuizen; he died at Willowmore in 1879. The Roggeveld is the ground the Therons stood on before the Koup.
