Navorsingsnotas
[1 Aug 2026 inbox] One of TEN near-equal subdivisions cut from Klipgat No. 114 and all registered in 1916 on consecutive deeds, from the deduction table on the reverse of SG Dgm 1200/1911 (DOC-0159). Named Aschkop on that table, 2,137 morgen 590 square roods, deed 1916-142-8831. THE SHAPE OF IT: nine of the ten are within four morgen of 2,137, and the tenth is a 10-morgen Lot A that is almost certainly a water or building site. Ten near-equal shares registered together, on an amended title issued to the ESTATE of the late Lucas Daniel Fromon van Zyl, is an estate being divided among heirs. The same pattern as Spreeufontein's three-way 1909 split, at ten times the width. [TO VERIFY] against the 1916 transfer deeds, which would name the heirs. The portion number comes from the order of the deed numbers (8820 to 8831 against portions 1 to 10), which agrees with the legible handwritten annotations; two of those annotations are not cleanly legible and rest on the order alone. The block also appears on the FACE of the 1911 diagram as a coloured internal division, so the ten were laid out before they were registered. MODERN EXTENT WILL NOT MATCH: the cadastre's ten Klipgat polygons total about 21,717 ha against the parent's 21,379 morgen (18,312 ha), and the cadastre also carries a 15/114 that is not on this sheet. Historic morgen and modern hectares are never quoted here as confirming each other. [1 Aug 2026]
[10 Aug 2026, SRC-356/DOC-0268] ITS OWN DIAGRAM AT LAST, SG 2083/1912, and it carries a date this project wanted. The portion is written "ASCH KOP" in two words on the sheet, 2137 morgen 590 square roods, in the FIELD-CORNETCY OF TRAKA, and it was 'granted to the Estate of the late LOUIS DANIEL FRANCOIS VAN ZYL on the 9th. Septr. 1911' - the man of LEAD-0096, with the first firm date this record has for that estate being wound up. A later endorsement transfers it again on 15 November 1916, deed 8831, to 'The Estate of the late Albert T. van Zyl'. Surveyed December 1911 by A.I. de VilliersM. BOUNDED, in the sheet's words: N by Nieuwe Dam, E by Remainder Van Aards Fontein, S by Kopjes Kraal, Nieuwjaarsfontein and Schuilpads Vlakte, W by Klipgat A and Remainder, SE by Schuilpads Vlakte, NE by Rietkuil. Three of those are rows here already.

141 people are on this site linked to nothing
prioriteit 1 · LEAD-0074
Which parcels and people exist on the site as dead ends - reachable by a list, but linked to no document, story, owner or neighbour?
Wat dit sou uitmaak For the 106 tree-derived rows, a parentage pass merged from the family-tree on tree id - which 6 already names as the direction of travel and which would connect them wholesale rather than one at a time. For the three floating names, find the document each came from and link it.

Aschkop (Klipgat Nr. 114 Gdlt 10) is in the model and drawn on the map, and carries no ownership record of any kind, not a grant, not a transfer, not an occupation.
What would settle it The Surveyor-General's diagram for the farm number names the grantee and the date; the deed reference on it opens the transfer chain.
Found by breaks.py reading the model against itself, not written by hand,
each one is a shape of missing record, not a fault in the data.
