TRANSCRIPTION, verbatim: "The above diagram lettered A B C D E F G H represents 2137 morgen 590 square roods of land situate in the Field-Cornetcy of TRAKA Division of PRINCE ALBERT being portion \"ASCH KOP\" of the farm KLIPGAT granted to the Estate of the late Louis Daniel Francois van Zyl on the 9th. Septr. 1911." THIS IS LEAD-0096'S MAN, AND THE SHEET DATES THE GRANT. It puts the estate of Louis Daniel Francois van Zyl taking transfer of the Aschkop portion on 9 September 1911, which is the first date this project has for the winding up of that estate. THE PORTION NAME IS WRITTEN "ASCH KOP", IN TWO WORDS AND IN QUOTATION MARKS ON THE SHEET. This model has it as Aschkop and that spelling is kept as the display name; the register's form is recorded here, per 5a. BOUNDED, in the sheet's own words: "N. w'ds by Nieuwe Dam. E. by Remainder Van Aards Fontein. S. by Kopjes Kraal, Nieuwjaarsfontein, and Schuilpads Vlakte. W. by Klipgat A and Remainder. S.E. by Schuilpads Vlakte. N.E. by Rietkuil." Surveyed and beaconed December 1911 by A.I. de Villiers, Government Land Surveyor. Deducted No. 291, signed W.P. Murray for Surveyor-General, 5 February 1913. Scale 500 Cape roods to one inch. LATER ENDORSEMENT: "Transfer 8831, 15th November 1916, The Estate of the late Albert T. van Zyl", signed W.G. Hardwick. So the ground passed from one van Zyl estate to another within five years.
