The first word is not settled; Voorzorg (Oudtshoorn No. 124) and Rietfontein (Oudtshoorn No. 142) both lie south-west of De Rust. So Terblans is 'Hz', a son of a Hendrik, and by 1825 had moved from the ward of Modder Fontyn to two quitrent farms in the next ward, without a vineyard. Oosthuize (1 wagon, no land). Ward total 56 men, 50 women, 75 sons, 86 daughters; vines 163,400; wine 22 1/2; brandy 26 5/8; 18 quit rent farms.
