The stone as far as it can be read, with the gaps marked rather than filled - 5a note 5: 'CECILIA MARIA THERON / GEBOREN DU P[LESSIS] / den 9 January 18[illegible] / overleden den 1[?9] April 1895 // Vrome vroeg gestorven vrienden / slechts zij [illegible] / [illegible] zult allen wederom [illegible] / als ons Jezus 't graf ontsluit'. | The surname on the top line is partly lost to weathering; THERON is a reading corroborated by the marriage (UNI-000183) and not an independent one. 'GEBOREN DU P' is clear and the rest of the maiden name is not. The birth YEAR is illegible; the day and month, 'den 9 January', are not, and they match 1857-01-09. The death day is the crux and is ambiguous between 10 and 19. | Condition: cracked across the lower third, heavy soiling, standing in dense bush. | THE PHOTOGRAPH IS NOT YET FILED.
