Supplied by , within the hour of a table that flagged this man as the only one of five generations with NO RECORDED DEATH PLACE (LINE-JAN-ADRIAAN-TO-THE-STAMVADER.md). It supplies it, and four other things. | TRANSCRIBED BY FIELD: 1. Name of the Deceased - 'Jan [ABRAHAM STRUCK THROUGH] ADRIAAN Oosthuijsen', with a marginal note that the amendment was made. 2. Birth-place - 'District PRINCE ALBERT'. 3. Names of the Parents - 'OCKERT ALMERO OOSTHUIJSEN en ADRIANA C. VENTER'. 4. Age - 65. 5. Condition in life - 'LANDED PROPRIETOR'. 6. Married. 7. Day of decease - 11 AUGUST 1882. 8. Where the Person died - 'HIS RESIDENCE AT GEORGE TOWN'. 10. Property - 'Landed & movable property'. Signed O. A. OOSTHUIZEN - the eldest son, PER-000005. | *** THE PARENTS ARE NAMED, WHICH UPGRADES A [TREE] LINK TO A DOCUMENT. *** The parentage of PER-000003 from PER-000001 and PER-000002 rested on the compiled tree at medium confidence. A death notice naming both parents is direct evidence. | *** AND THE CLERK FIRST WROTE 'JAN ABRAHAM'. *** 5b's point about this family exactly: the register wrote Jan Adriaan, the family-tree expanded it to Johannes Adriaan, and here an informant reached for Abraham and had to be corrected. The amendment is on the face and is kept. | *** THE BIRTH-PLACE CONTRADICTS THE MODEL AND THE CONTRADICTION IS INTERESTING RATHER THAN WRONG. *** This project has him born 20 Nov 1816 and baptised at GRAAFF-REINET on 16 June 1817 (SRC-082, register read). The notice says he was born in the DISTRICT OF PRINCE ALBERT - which DID NOT EXIST IN 1816, being created in 1845. So it is the informant's 1882 label for the ground, not the 1816 name. AND IT IS THE LESSON OF 20 AUGUST APPLIED TO A SECOND GENERATION: a baptism records the church, not the home. If the son was born on ground that later fell in Prince Albert district, the household was on the Koup side in 1816 and travelled to Graaff-Reinet for the font - EARLIER THAN THIS PROJECT HAS THE FAMILY ARRIVING, which it dates to Beaufort West in 1821 and the Koup from 1823. [TO VERIFY] and worth a lead. | THE AGE CHECKS: 65 at 11 Aug 1882 against a birth of 20 Nov 1816 is exactly 65. | AND GEORGE IS COHERENT: he remarried at GEORGE on 9 Feb 1858 (SRC-074) and died at his residence at George Town twenty-four years later. | *** ELEVEN CHILDREN ARE NAMED AND THE MODEL HOLDS SIXTEEN ROWS. *** Majors: Ockert Almero, Johanna Petronella, Jan Adriaan, Cornelis Andries, Petrus Marthinus Lodewicus, Adriana Cecilia, Susanna Catharina, Anna Magdalena, Roelof Daniel Jacobus. Minors: Anna Petronella, Johanna Elizabeth - the two by the second wife, which fits a marriage of 1858. See the audit on PER-000003.
