THREE THINGS THIS RECORD DID NOT HAVE. Her BIRTHPLACE is NIEUWOUDTVILLE, not Calvinia. Her MARRIAGE was at VAN RHYNSDORP, which is 200 km west and is a district this project has never touched. And the family farm is BREEKBEENKOLK in the Calvinia district, where she was still living at 79 and where she died in her own house. IT NAMES HER DAUGHTER AND HER SON-IN-LAW IN ONE LINE - "Catarina Isabella Bruyn getroud met Jacobus Johannes Gideon van der Merwe" - which ties PER-000220 to PER-000219 from an original document rather than from the tree. FOUR CHILDREN, and this model held one. Adriaan Hubertus, Hendrik Jacobus and Hubertus Bruyn are all of age in 1942 and none is in this record. LEAD-0168. She was a widow for thirteen years and the estate had no movables and a bond on the land.
