The citation as it was given
'Album complete at the time of photographing.' Five images: two overviews, KLAASSEN SAMUEL 1885-196?, and TWO CAPTIONED SIMPLY 'UNKNOWN'. GPS -33 21.040, 22 38.091. THIS FILLS A GAP THIS PROJECT HAD WRITTEN DOWN AS A GAP. GRV-0023 records that Elizabeth Caroline 'Lizzie' Marincowitz nee Rill died at Port Elizabeth in November 1968 and was 'begrawe te Vrolikheid', and the row says in as many words: 'THE ONLY BURIAL ON VROLIKHEID THE RECORD NAMES, and the first evidence that the farm has a cemetery at all. Nobody has visited it; there is no photograph, no inscription and no coordinate.' There is now a coordinate, and somebody has visited it - in FEBRUARY 2026, six months ago. AND IT IS ON THE MARINCOWITZ PORTION. The point falls inside PAR-000035, MARINCO, VROLYKHEID PORTION 3 - cadastre key 3/177 - and inside the parent farm 177. Lizzie Marincowitz being buried on the portion that carries her married family's name is what one would expect, and it is the first physical support for the burial the death notice asserts. TWO STONES ARE CAPTIONED 'UNKNOWN'. One of them may be hers. Neither has been read here; the images are eGGSA's and are linked, not copied. The one named burial, SAMUEL KLAASSEN 1885-196?, is nobody this project holds.
Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
