Marico, Z.A.R. | *** WHAT MAKES THIS DOCUMENT MATTER: IT NAMES BOTH KLAARSTROOMS. *** The man was BORN AT MIDDELWATER in the Cape Colony - the Oosthuizen farm this whole project is built on - and DIED AT KLAARSTROOM IN THE MARICO, the farm his mother's cousin Ockert Jacobus named in 1848 'vernoem na die oorspronklike plaas en plek van sy herkoms' (EVT-000008, SRC-119). Born on the original ground, died on the ground named after it. | CAUTION, AND 5 SAYS IT FIRST: this does NOT rehabilitate the family-tree's 'Klaarstroom, Marico, Transvaal' place strings, which remain a known corruption class. It proves the Marico Klaarstroom was REAL and that this family was on it. Those are different claims and the second does not license the first. | AGE CONFLICT: '55 jaar 4 maanden en 12 dagen' at 22 March 1895 gives a birth of about 10 NOVEMBER 1839.
