"As I have it, the first Almero, or his parents, lived at Citrusdal. In fact I have been to the property that still stands." Recorded as told, source to be found. INDEPENDENTLY CORROBORATED by the family-tree, which gives Ockert Almaro Oosthuizen (1755-1809) a death place of CITRUSDAL - and that is a place-field the project otherwise treats as hostile, so family memory arriving at the same answer from the other direction raises it well above the usual family-tree confidence. THE BUILDING IS A RESEARCH ASSET: a standing structure Frans has stood in. Photographs, an address and a title-deed search would turn a remembered place into a documented one. | [18 Aug 2026, CONSISTENCY RUN] The Citrusdal identification is no longer carried as fact. The 1809 estate was taken before A.A. FAURE, LANDDROST OF SWELLENDAM (SRC-465), whose authority was territorial and did not reach Tulbagh or Clanwilliam, where Citrusdal lay. See LEAD-0220. The testimony is unchanged and is still the family's own answer. What changed is that the project no longer treats it as located.
