THE TREE SAYS SHE DIED AT THREE. THE FAMILY SAYS THEY MET HER. [FAMILY] His sister martha did exist and family did meet her at some point. The private tree gives her death as 27 November 1896, eleven weeks after the mother whose names she carried; that date is NOT carried into this row while the two accounts disagree, and the row shows her birth only.
THE DATE IS THE WEAKER OF THE TWO CLAIMS, and three things say so. Her death place in the tree is the vague "Cape Province" where every sibling has a town. She has no spouse and no children there, which is what a record looks like when it stops rather than when a life ends.
