DIRECT ANCESTOR - Frans's 2x-great-grandfather. Died at Blaauwberg ("Villa van Helslandt"). Married Margaretha Elizabeth ZeederbergH at Durban, Cape, 11 Mar 1877. THE FATHER OF THE TWO SISTERS: Maria Johanna (PER-000074), who married into the Zeekoegat Oosthuizens and died at Prince Albert in 1916, and Francoise Jeanne (PER-000076), Frans's great-grandmother. FamilySearch shows eleven children; the Duminy genealogy (SRC-071) says fourteen [TO VERIFY]. [SRC-074]
The van Helslandt in the name is his father's, and it goes back to Charles Jean van HelslandtM of Torhout, who married a Duminy in 1800 and left no children. [SRC-071]
