Research notes

[SRC-596] Cut from Wilger Fontein in 1911, reference as written: 1911-80-5045. NAMED FOR THE GRANTEES - the two Marais brothers who took the quitrent title in 1875 - and, like Deelfontein, already written on the 1872 face of the diagram. A family put its name on a piece of its own farm and the cadastre caught up thirty-six years later. No coordinate and no cadastral match yet.

[27 Aug 2026] Cadastre key pinned explicitly. checks.py found the polygon already on disk and said the matcher had not reached it, which is what a new hand-written parcel row looks like before its key is set.
