SG diagram 649/1838 (DOC-0326, SRC-502): 2770 morgen 574 sq roods in the FIELD-CORNETCY OF GROOTE SWARTEBERG, DISTRICT OF SWELLENDAM, whereof 1800 form the LOAN PLACE 'WOLVER FONTEIN', the remainder Government ground. Surveyed for JAN MATTHYS CHRISTIAN HORN by F. Rawstorne. Bounded north by the TOUWS BERG, east by the loan place Riet Fontein, west by vacant ground reaching the loan place Zorgvliet.

*** THE EASTERN BOUNDARY IS LABELLED ON THE FACE: 'Gov ground surveyed for J C Els & MAR OOSTHUYZEN'. *** That is an Oosthuyzen holding ground against this farm in 1838, and it is the strongest thing on the sheet. [TO VERIFY] which Marthinus or Marten.

'gel: aan de Swartberg' in the 1808 roll (SRC-483 p.115) is this field-cornetcy, named on this diagram. *** WHAT IS ESTABLISHED AND WHAT IS NOT, BECAUSE THE TWO ARE EASY TO RUN TOGETHER HERE. *** ESTABLISHED: this farm exists, carries this number in the LADISMITH registration division, and its name appears in the farm column of the 1805 Swellendam opgaafrol on the same openings that carry the Oosthuizen entries (SRC-497). NOT ESTABLISHED: that any Oosthuizen held it. The roll's names leaf and farms leaf are separate photographs at different zooms and no row line has been traced across the opening - LEAD-0246, and SRC-485 set the rule: nothing may be concluded until somebody puts a ruler across it.

NOT CORE AND NOT IN THE KOUP. No plc_id, so scope.in_koup fails closed and the map's opening bounds stay on Klaarstroom, 150 km east. 9a: a prequel ground is drawn so the road can be seen, never grown into a second district.

The 1805 Swellendam opgaafrol's farm column names OCKERTS KRAAL (SRC-497, image 40) and the 1958 consolidated diagram of Rietfontein A No. 139 draws 'Rem of Ockerts Kraal' against its south-eastern boundary (SRC-503). What is its farm number in the Ladismith registration division?
