Research notes

[SRC-072] On the Hannetjieskraal River, on the road between Prince Albert and Willowmore. Farm cemetery with legible headstones for Johanna Jacomina Petronella Swanepoel nee Venter (1825-1894), Abraham Christoffel SwanepoelM (1846-1913) and his wife Ignasina Johanna Maria nee Bekker. Inscriptions are cut on the BACK of the stones, as at Botterkraal and Kommetjieskraal - a local habit worth noting. Owned by W.P. Loock in 2002. Neighbouring Biesiefontein has a large cemetery of unmarked graves. [2 Aug 2026] NAME MISMATCH, NOT RESOLVED. We call this Vliegekraal No. 89; the Prince Albert cadastre names farm 89 RIET KRAAL (7,643.1 ha). Either the farm was renamed, or the number 89 is wrong and the polygon belongs to a different farm. SRC-072 places Vliegekraal on the Hannetjieskraal River between Prince Albert and Willowmore, which is consistent with this polygon but does not prove it. Left pinned and flagged rather than guessed at. [TO VERIFY]

What the record is missing

Found by breaks.py reading the model against itself, not written by hand, each one is a shape of missing record, not a fault in the data. The whole set is on the questions page.
