Farm PAR-000046

Driehoek

· show on the map

District
Prince Albert

This parcel has no matched survey polygon, so it cannot be drawn on the map. That is a gap in the cadastre match, not an absence from the record.

Why this farm is here

What the record holds, in order

No dated record on this parcel yet. It is on the map because the Surveyor-General has a polygon for it; the history is not transcribed.

Research notes

Named and drawn on the 1919 field sketch (DOC-0045) as a distinct piece of ground EAST of the "Remainder of portion of Rondable", between the Camp, Honing Nest Poortje and Witbaken beacons - NOT inside Rondabel, so the earlier "(Rondabel portion)"/farm 124 framing was an assumption, now dropped. PROBABLE IDENTIFICATION [TO VERIFY]: the literal driehoek that survives in the modern cadastre as OUDE MUURE Ptn 2/121 (LPI C0610000000001210 0002, 101.2 ha), the wedge on the Trakarivier between Kopjes Kraal 123 and farm 112 - the only triangular parcel in that direction, on a Marincowitz farm where the name would have been current. What would settle it: Ptn 2/121's own CSG diagram/deed. Extent never established from our documents.

The research behind this page, kept separate from it: dated working notes, open questions, and what is not yet settled.

What the record is missing

Found by breaks.py reading the model against itself, not written by hand, each one is a shape of missing record, not a fault in the data. The whole set is on the questions page.
