Johannes Gysbertus du Plessis, born 1826, and Johanna Elizabeth van Rooyen, born 1831, lie together in the farm cemetery on Reim Hoogte, twelve kilometres from the ground their daughter was buried on eighteen years earlier. Their graves show that the du Plessis were in this district in their own right, not visitors who married into it.
