[31 Jul 2026 inbox] Field cornet of the Zwarte Berg ward in August 1833: BOTH the Wilgemond and the Klein Valie diagrams place their farms 'in the Field Cornetcy of C. HattingH' (DOC-0117, DOC-0119). A ward officer is a dating and locating tool - the same use made of Abraham Greyling and Stephanus van Wyk in LEAD-0014.

[17 Sep 2026] VERY PROBABLY Christian Hatting JuniorM of Klein Valie (PER-000494), 'Christiaan HattingM Diedriks Zoon' x Margaretha Isabella Botha on the Beaufort roll of 1824 (SRC-634), and NOT Christian Hatting SeniorM (PER-000055), who is enrolled separately as 'd'oude' in 1822 (SRC-559). Not merged [TO VERIFY].
