Navorsingsnotas
[SRC-068] MP for Beaufort West, of Prince Albert. Invited ds Adriaan HofmeyrM on the 1897 Mashonaland expedition that included Cecil John RhodesM - the trip that produced the Rhodes organ. A railway siding carries the family name.
These are working notes, not finished prose: they carry the reasoning, the corrections and the things still marked to verify. They are kept here so the page itself can read as what is known.
Oop vrae

Did Ds Adriaan Hofmeyr travel to Mashonaland in 1897, after he had left Prince Albert?
prioriteit 2 · LEAD-0044
SRC-068 has Hofmeyr serving Prince Albert 1883-1895 and then joining Jan LuttigH and Cecil John RhodesM on a Mashonaland expedition in 1897, two years after he left the town. The organ that ended up at Zeekoegat came out of that trip.
Wat dit sou uitmaak A dated account of the N'gami expedition.
