The citation as it was given
[16 Sep 2026] The map prints 'Jackhals [o] Ftn' with a small place circle just above the junction of the Dwyka with the Gamka, where the Gamka enters the Zwartberg, north of the Cango. The circle sits just west of the line lettered Dwyka. At the scale of the map that is about 4 km, and its longitude is about 0.4 degree east of the real junction, so the map places the farm AT THE JUNCTION and cannot say which bank. Thompson's text (SRC-635) is the better witness for the side. Legend: the author's route is dotted.
