Two entries of 22 October 1790, transcribed as read. FIRST: 'den 22 dito / Elisabeth Johanna / gebooren den [?5] April Ao 1789 / v Jan Louies Venter / m Johanna Jacomina Smit / g Stephanus Naude, Elisabeth Johanna Smit' - the child named for the witness Elisabeth Johanna Smit, the mother's family. The birth digit is read [?5] against the model's 1 April 1789 (PER-000615, L4Q7-8HN); NOT corrected on an uncertain digit - 5a note 5. SECOND: 'den 22 dito / Jan Louies / gebooren den 29 July Ao 1790 / v Jan Louies Venter / m Johanna Jacomina Smit / g Johannes Hendrik Venter, Maria Elisabeth du Plesie' - CONFIRMS PER-000590 (L4Q7-88M) to the day, and the boy carries his father's name.
