WILLEM SCHALKSZ (van der Merwe) *Babilonienbroek [baptised] 21.05.1634 Heusden - South African progenitor (stamvader)', sourced to Streekarchief Langstraat Heusden Altena, archiefnummer 0185, Gemeente Babylonienbroek/Hill, period 1610-1663, inventarisnummer 001, blad 128r and 128v. | So the van der Merwe line now has a baptism date and an archive reference at its head, the way the Oosthuizen line has SRC-094. NOT YET WRITTEN INTO THE MODEL: it is a published argument, not a register this project has read, and the author himself frames the identification as tested rather than proved.
