The citation as it was given
TRANSCRIPTION: "The above Figure a to f represents the Crown Land Farm called Lot A Oude Muur Extension containing 445 Morgen 99 Square Roods of Land, situate in the Division of CALVINIA, Field-cornetcy of North Onder Bokkeveld and bounded West and North West by SLAAI ACKER OR OUDE MUUR, and by Heitoes. East by Palmiet Fontein. South by Melkbos Rug." Surveyed by Wm. de Smidt Junr., G.S.; examiner L. Marquard; area in English measure 942.21 acres. THE ALTERNATIVE NAME IS THE FIND. 'Slaai Acker or Oude Muur' means the van der Merwe seat carried two names in 1874. Neither is a correction of the other, 5a. DEDUCTION TABLE, on the second sheet: survey record E696/55, diagram 3032/55, Portion 1, 222.7957 morgen, transfer 5064/66, initialled 18/3/66. That single deduction accounts for the whole difference between the 1874 extent and the modern polygon.
