The citation as it was given
TRANSCRIPTION: "The above Figure a to c represents the Crown Land Farm called Alewyns Berg Extension containing 539 Morgen 58 Square Roods of Land, situate in the Division of CALVINIA, Field-cornetcy of North Onder Bokkeveld and bounded N by Alewyns Berg, S by Leeuwen Riet, E by Zoet water Extension. Surveyed by me, Wm. de Smidt Junr." Examiner L. Marquard. Area 1141.02 acres. Beacons pointed out to Field Cornet J.A. Nieuwoudt, S.V. van Breda and J. Poole - the same three men as the neighbouring sheet, surveyed in the same season. The face names DWARS PAD, DRIEKOP, ZOETWATER and ZOETWATER EXTENSION, LEEUWEN RIET and LEEUWEN RIET EXTENSION, and the thoroughfare 'from Hantam to Onder Bokkeveld'.
Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
