PLACES ON THIS COLLECTION ARE GEOCODED AND SOME ARE CORRUPT, 5 exactly: Gert Jan's and Charles Frederic's baptisms are filed as 'Beaufort, TRANSVAAL' and one George entry as 'Willowmore, POTGIETERSRUST, TRANSVAAL'. The province tail is the machine's and is not evidence. The typed 1875-1882 index independently places Gert Jan at Prins Albert, register boek 53 bladsy 119 [SRC-357]. READ AS AN INDEX AND NOT AS THE PAPER: these are indexed entries, no image was opened, and the collection is the same one the private family-tree was seeded from, so agreement with this model is not independent corroboration. What it adds is the baptism DATES and PLACES, which were never held.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
