The citation as it was given

HELD AS A PHOTOGRAPH OF THE REGISTER, not as a file fetched from the archive. The entry, as far as it can be read: 'Den 18 Novemb: des dochtertie van CORNELIS CLAES en CATARINA VAN MALBAAR gedoopt [swartinne?] wijst genaamt CORNELIA.' The word after 'gedoopt' is not confidently legible and is left marked rather than resolved. THIS IS THE OTHER HALF OF THE PAIR. With SRC-296, the marriage of 15 March 1676, it places Cornelia's baptism SIXTEEN MONTHS BEFORE her parents married. Cornelia is PER-001433, the mother of Catharina Bastijaans Pyl (PER-000768), and the line runs from her into the Brits and then the Oosthuizens - so this is the earliest register entry in this project that touches the direct line. [TO VERIFY] the archive reference: collection named, no ark or image number seen - 5a-ii.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
