The citation as it was given

Two deductions, each renumbered in a later hand exactly as at Klaarstroom: "No. 2 Green" struck through and replaced by Ptn 2, 4796 morgen 570 square roods, deed 1865-17-320; "No. 1" struck through and replaced by Ptn 1, 2738 morgen, deed 1857-53-278. So the farm was being cut up from 1857, and the Remainder that went to Joseph le Grange in 1899 is roughly 4 048 morgen of the original 11 583.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
