The citation as it was given

3000 morgen, Division of BEAUFORT, field cornetcy of Zwartberg, 'being the Place Bloemendaal'. THE OLDEST SURVEY IN THIS MODEL: 'Taken from the original Diagram framed 7TH MAY 1825 by the Landsurveyor Mr. BOWER', redrawn by A. Auret, draftsman, SG's Office. Title Bf.W.Q. 8-1 dated 31.1.1845 - a different volume and a different grant date from the 15 April 1841 series, which is useful: volume 5 is that grant day, volume 8 is 1845. Neighbours drawn on the face: Vrisgewaagd, Venterskloof, Riem Hoogte, Government ground. Copy 30.8.1963.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
