The citation as it was given
Signed A.I. de Villiers. The corner beacons marked H and K' were 'shewn to me by the owner of the farm Remhoogte & by the proprietors of the adjoining farms', and in his opinion represent the correct positions. A small document, but it is the method note behind the diagram - which is exactly the kind of thing that decides whether a boundary is evidence or assertion.
Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
