RECORDED AS THE PROBLEM, NOT AS EVIDENCE. The FamilySearch change log for L1GF-H9H shows one editor on 24 Sep 2020 attach this probate, create a custom event 'Probate, from 1976 to 1979', and change the death to '6 April 1976, Cape Province' - in the same session, minutes apart. A probate DATE RANGE was read as a death date. The record is also indexed under the MAIDEN name for a woman married since 1895. Where '6 April' came from is not explained by anything in the log; the same session also merged LVP9-KSS into this profile, which is the only other candidate. See LEAD-0020.
Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
